Day 1: Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

Ephesians 6:12:
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
In preparing for warfare, the Jewish people always prepared in ways more spiritual than military. For they believed they were fighting more than just men. They were instead participating in a much larger battle, a battle between angels in heaven. And so we too in preparing for war should prepare not just with signs and well reasoned logic, but also with prayer and fasting as the war we participate is not just for the conversion of the hearts and minds of all who believe in abortion, but against enemy angels themselves.

Day 2: Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Romans 8:38, 37:
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us.
It is important for us to remember that, though we do indeed fight angelic beings greater than ourselves in our desire to bring our beloved brothers and sisters who believe in abortion to Christ, Christ is with us and with His power, those who seek the destruction of the souls of our brothers and sisters are no match for the power of God, and the love of God.

Day 3: Friday, September 24th, 2010

Colossians 2:15:
Despoiling the principalities and the powers, he made a public spectacle of them, leading them away in triumph by it.
This is what we hope to achieve through the power of Christ, and our demonstrating His Commandment of love: we desire to despoil ‘the principalities and the powers’ of those souls lost through abortion, and those children so aborted, and so make a public spectacle of death by the lives of the men and women we desire to touch with our love.

Day 4: Saturday, September 25th, 2010

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

Revelation: 12:1-5a:
A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, 4 with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.
It is not just the Infant Jesus the dragon wishes to devour, but all children, and all servants of God. And just as the dragon sweeps away a third of the stars, we have need to remember that abortion is violence, pure and simple: violence against the woman, and violence against the innocence of a child.

Day 5: Sunday, September 26th, 2010

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael
Revelation: 12:7-12a:
Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them.
Once again, we are reminded that the war for souls is not just a human endeavor, but is a battle in the heavens as well. So we call upon the intercession of angels to help us in this battle for souls. And with the prayers of angels and humans combined, we call down the Blood of the Lamb to cast out the ‘accuser of our brothers.’ And with Satan robbed rejoice with our brothers and sisters in heaven and all who dwell there.

Day 6: Monday, September 27th, 2010

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

Revelation: 12:13, 17:
When the dragon saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God’s commandments and bear witness to Jesus.
Indeed, by Satan’s lies there are those who will say abortion is not one of God’s Commandments, saying ‘You shall not kill’ does not apply to the unborn. And if one looks to the teachings of our Righteous Apostles in the written text called the Didache, we see an explicit command from the very men Jesus originally chose to spread the Good News. ‘You shall not procure an abortion, nor practice infanticide.’

Day 7: Tuesday, September 28th

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

Daniel 12:1:
At that time there shall arise Michael, the great prince, guardian of your people; It shall be a time unsurpassed in distress since nations began until that time. At that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book.
Though the proponents of abortion deny it, the genocide of 50,000,000 unborn children in the United States alone is a time of ‘unsurpassed in distress since nations began until that time.’ And so it is with true charity for both mother, father, and child, we long through the Angelic and human ministry of love to bring all those involved in the abortion industry to Christ, and thus be ‘found written in the book.’

Day 8: Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

Galatians 1:8-9: If we or an angel from heaven should preach (to you) a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed!

Veritatis Splendor: we are taught early on that people are naturally drawn to the Truth – the Gospel, and the beauty of the Gospel, and the joy of the Gospel, and so the souls we long to draw to Christ and away from the horror of abortion should see us ‘Thank God now and forever [and] continue to thank him every day; praise him with song’, that they may see our Christian joy and be drawn to Jesus Christ.

Day 9: Thursday, September 30th, 2010

From the Feast of Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael

Revelation 1: 4a-6: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, who has made us into a kingdom, priests for his God and Father, to him be glory and power forever (and ever). Amen.

Even in the book of Revelation that speaks of the chastisement of sinners, God’s mercy and desire that all men and women shine through. May we always see the abortion provider, the men and women who promote and seek this violation of human dignity, as our brothers and sisters. May we remember it is God’s greatest wish that they be safely brought into His Kingdom.

Day 10: Friday, October 1st

From the Feast of Guardian Angels

Exodus 23:20-22: See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. Be attentive to him and heed his voice. Do not rebel against him, for he will not forgive your sin. My authority resides in him. If you heed his voice and carry out all I tell you, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.
Angels are often used by God as instruments of the Holy Spirit, and as messengers. May we be attentive to the various inspirations and messages of God through the Holy Spirit, and His holy angels, heeding God that we may lovingly bring His merciful message of Life to those who are slaves to the Culture of Death.

Day 11: Saturday, October 2nd, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels

Acts 5:17a, 18-20: Then the high priest rose up…, laid hands upon the apostles and put them in the public jail. But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said, “Go and take your place in the temple area, and tell the people everything about this life.”

Many are resistant to the message of Life, and are willing to do much that we might lose hope. May we realize that our ministry is protected by the Angels, who they themselves fight in the heavens for us, and thus be ready like the Apostles to go out and proclaim the Gospel of Life.

Day 12: Sunday, October 3rd, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels.

Acts 12:7: Suddenly the angel of the Lord stood by him and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on the side and awakened him, saying, “Get up quickly.” The chains fell from his wrists. The angel said to him, “Put on your belt and your sandals.”

Through the intercessory ministry of Angels and our prayer, may the souls of abortion workers, mothers, and fathers be released from the shackles of the Culture of Death, and brought into the life-filled, love-filled, mercy-filled Kingdom of God.

Day 13: Monday, October 4th, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels.

Acts 10:3b-5: [Cornelius] saw plainly in a vision an angel of God come in to him and say to him, “Cornelius.” He looked intently at him and, seized with fear, said, “What is it, sir?” He said to him, “Your prayers and almsgiving have ascended as a memorial offering before God. Now send some men to Joppa and summon one Simon who is called Peter.

Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons in our ministry to save souls. Should God open the heart of a worker, or a mother, or a father, may we be gentle shepherds like St. Peter, and bring these men and women to Christ.

Day 14: Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels.

Revelation 8:3-4: Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a gold censer. He was given a great quantity of incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the holy ones, on the gold altar that was before the throne. The smoke of the incense along with the prayers of the holy ones went up before God from the hand of the angel.

Consider the great roll of intercessory prayer throughout the History of Christendom. If all the people in this world who claim they were proLife prayed for an end to this sorrow that kills children and kills the souls of abortion workers, mothers, and fathers who commit it, God would end this scourge to our humanity would end. Let us, along with the angels, pray constantly that the smoke of our prayers moves our God to open the hearts of all who believe in abortion.

Day 15: Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels.

Matthew 18:10: See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.

Consider the dignity of all men and women before God. All these souls are assigned a majestic angel to protect them in their life’s journey. These little ones conceived in the womb are given a mighty angel to safeguard them throughout life. That is how important every soul, born and unborn, is.

Day 16: Thursday, October 7th, 2010

From the Feast of Guardian Angels.

Matthew 18:10: See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.

Consider that one mighty angel, if allowed by God, could annihilate all the armies the world has ever mustered combined, and yet we dare to experiment and murder these unborn children so protected. Are we not fortunate that these mighty angels respect life more than we and take not revenge for innocent blood?

Day 17: Friday, October 8th, 2010

Exodus 23:20: See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.

Just as the Angel led the Jewish people safely on the journey to the Promised Land, let us ask the angels and we ourselves pray that our brothers and sisters may be led on a journey that will lead them to see their baby as needing them, and that to love a child, though work, is to bring joy to life.

Day 18: Saturday, October 9th, 2010

Daniel 10:20-11:1a: “Do you know,” he asked, “why I have come to you? Soon I must fight the prince of Persia again. When I leave, the prince of Greece will come; but I shall tell you what is written in the truthful book. No one supports me against all these except Michael, your prince standing as a reinforcement and a bulwark for me.”

The angels of God bring the Good News in many ways. Ultimately, many of these servants of God serve God by seeing to our spiritual wellbeing. Let us ask the angels to intercede for all men and women considering abortion, that they may come to know the Truth of God’s sorrow at the loss of a baby in the womb, and the joy of bring service in loving a little child, a child who is Truly a gift from God.

Day 19: Sunday, October 10th, 2010

Exodus 23:20-22: See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. Be attentive to him and heed his voice. Do not rebel against him, for he will not forgive your sin. My authority resides in him. If you heed his voice and carry out all I tell you, I will be an enemy to your enemies and a foe to your foes.

Angels do not only intercede for our Spiritual well being, but our health and welfare. Should we not, then, ask our angels to intercede and indeed we too pray for the spiritual, physical, and quality of life for the mother, father, and children affected by abortion and the threat of abortion?

Day 20: Monday, October 11th, 2010

Genesis 2:23-25: The man said: “This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of ‘her man’ this one has been taken.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body. The man and his wife were both naked, yet they felt no shame.

One of the greatest ways to stop abortion is to promote the beauty of the Family. One of the most wonderful gifts of service a Guardian Angel may provide us is help in the finding of a spouse. We need only ask our Guardian Angel, and he/she will gently guide us by intercession with God in finding that special someone with which we make a fruitful life in Jesus Christ. Then with a spouse truly given to us by God we may sing with ‘Lord, you know that I take this [spouse] of mine not because of lust, but for a noble purpose. Call down your mercy on me and on her, and allow us to live together to a happy old age.” They said together, “Amen, amen,”.’

Day 21: Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Jude 1:9: Yet the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil in a dispute over the body of Moses, did not venture to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”

If even a dead body is worthy of a heavenly battle between St. Michael and the adversary, how much more is the life of one little child?

Day 22: Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Jude 1:9: Yet the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil in a dispute over the body of Moses, did not venture to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”

The dignity that St. Michael offers even to the fallen adversary, Satan, doomed forever to hell is a reminder of the respect we owe all human beings. Clearly, if St. Michael would not chastise Satan, knowing even fallen Satan still to be loved by God and having the dignity of being loved by God, how much more are we to have a similar respect for those who believe in abortion. They remain fiercely loved by God. Yes, we judge deeds as objectively evil as we are called to do; we judge laws as unhealthy for society, and so on as we are called to do. But we also follow the example of St. Michael, and are reminded by St. Michael of the dignity we owe all peoples. And so it is with the Hope that God in His mercy will lead our misguided, sometimes broken, brothers and sisters to redemption that we revile them not, but gently call them Home.

Day 23: Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Feast of the Triumph of the Cross

Philippians 2:6-8: Though He was in the form of God, Jesus did not deem equality with God something to be grasped at. Rather He emptied Himself and took the form of a slave being born in the likeness of men. He was known to be of human estate, and it was thus that He humbled Himself, obediently accepting even death, death on a cross!

That Jesus came as a child is no small matter. In a world cursed in Genesis 3 due to sin, Jesus recasts all humanity because He Himself was human. He recasts the dignity of the womb, because He Himself was in the womb. He recasts being a child, because He Himself was a child. He recasts work, and leisure, and friendship, and even death because He Himself did not find these things beneath Him, but enjoyed them as a Human and as God. If Jesus Himself was all of these, who dares to say a baby in the womb is not a human.

Day 24: Friday, October 15th, 2010

Feast of the Triumph of the Cross.

Christ is the fullness of revelation of Who God is and who man is. So when Jesus follows the plan the Father has laid out, we should realize that we are to follow in His Footsteps and follow the plan God has laid out for us. So when our Lord permits the Gift of Life, a soul, to infuse a body, it means He longs for that person to come and bless HIS world. And it is His plan that we should accept with love that child, and not destroy it as nothing, for it is His plan we interfere with, and His child we destroy through abortion.

Day 25: Saturday, October 16th, 2010

Jeremiah 1:5: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you.

How much more plain can our God be? Each person is accounted for in His wonderful plan; each person has a mission. Each person is part of God’s work to make this world the mosaic of beauty the our Lord has always desired it to be.

Day 26: Sunday, October 17th, 2010

Deuteronomy 31:6: Be brave and steadfast; have no fear or dread of them, for it is the LORD, your God, who marches with you; he will never fail you or forsake you.

It is the Lord who has ordained that all life is Sacred. Have no fear to demonstrate your conviction of this Truth. It is His Truth that you speak, not a Truth made from human conventions or human respect. And His Truth and wisdom surpasses all human wisdom. His power surpasses all human power.

Day 27: Monday, October 18th, 2010

Luke 1:39-41: In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb.

Consider this child, St. John the Baptist, three to four months along, had the Spiritual Insight to recognize the savior, who could have no more than a month a long in the womb of Mary.

Day 28: Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Exodus 4:11: Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

It is the Lord who has us fearfully and wonderfully made. We are His creation, male and female, He created us. Can man even begin to create such beauty, and even should we learn to clone a human being, we are in essence playing with God’s priceless building blocks. So how do we dare terminate something so wondrous that God has made?

Day 29: Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Job 1:21: “Naked I came forth from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I go back again. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!”

Name one thing that we have that has not been given to us by God. Our life, our friends, our possessions, and indeed our children are all gifts from God. If God had not ordained these gifts, we would never have been blessed with them. Indeed, the Lord gave, who are we to take away such a gift as a life?

Day 30: Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Psalm 8:3: Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy.

A principle once asked a group of 5th graders, when a mother and father come together, can the child created be a dog or a cat or even a gorilla? Some children looked at her strange, some shook their head as in ‘no of course not’, and one answered, ‘no, it has to be a human being.’

Day 31: Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Matthew 2:18: A voice was heard in Ramah, sobbing and loud lamentation; Rachel weeping for her children, and she would not be consoled, since they were no more.

Though our Lord in His merciful love forgives all sins, the pain and sorrow of Abortion for both women and men never go away. God forgives, but we do not easily forgive ourselves. The pious legend is told how St. Peter, though forgiven, cried for the remainder of his days in regret for having betrayed the Christ. How much more parents must mourn over their decisions to betray and abort their children.

Day 32: Saturday, October 23rd, 2010

Psalm 82:3-4: Defend the lowly and fatherless; render justice to the afflicted and needy. Rescue the lowly and poor; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

What is more lowly in power than a child. And so by Divine command we are called to render justice to those who are most lowly. Justice is not just a juridical term, rather justice calls us to give those in true need what they need. Then in justice, in giving to a lowly child what they need, we are called to give them our love, and all the protection that we can afford against abortions.

And in justice we too are called to protect the mothers. Though the proponents of abortion tell us the destructive abortive procedure is safe, many is the mother that is driven ambulatory to the hospital with their lives in danger after an abortion. Justice calls us to end this heinous procedure that is so dangerous to the mother.

Day 33: Sunday, October 24th, 2010

John 19:26: Woman, Behold Your Son.

In these words, hear the awesome responsibility given to a parent towards a child, and of course a child towards a parent.

Day 34: Monday, October 25th, 2010

Isaiah 49: 5: For now the LORD has spoken who formed me as his servant from the womb.

How many servants of God have been lost through this insidious so-called right offered by the irrational laws allowing abortion? How many children murdered? How many men and women lost because of despair believing that God cannot forgive them of this sin?

Day 35: Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Genesis 25:22-23: The children in Rebekah’s womb jostled each other so much that she exclaimed, “If this is to be so, what good will it do me!” She went to consult the LORD, and he answered her: “Two nations are in your womb.”

When a baby is aborted is it not just that life that is ended but the lives of all those who would have been the progeny of that child. [Quoted]

Day 36: Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

1 Peter 2:15: For it is the will of God that by doing good you may silence the ignorance of foolish people.

We are called as Christ’s ambassadors to do all we can to display God’s love and compassion to all involved in this horror of abortion. The story was told of how a prolife worker hugged an abortion mill owner… what power is displayed in such an act. However we are called to be his ambassadors in this crazy situation we protest, we have need to make sure that our actions ‘may silence the ignorance of foolish people.’

Day 37: Thursday, October 28th, 2010

1 Peter 2:16: Be free, yet without using freedom as a pretext for evil, but as slaves of God.

Freedom is given to be able to choose the good. However if our love of God and our choice for God is to be truly free, true freedom must then allow for the possibility of evil. But just because we have the freedom to choose evil does not mean we should choose it. And just because men have given us freedom of law to kill children in the womb, does not mean that it is rational to do so. Just because men have given us freedom of law to murder does not mean it is sanctioned by God.

Day 38: Friday, October 29th, 2010

Exodus 20:13: Thou shalt not murder/kill.
What more is to be said?

Day 39: Saturday, October 30th, 2010

Isaiah 49:15: Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. See, upon the palms of my hands I have written your name; your walls are ever before me.

Too many by far are the women and men who believe that they can forget their children, erase them from memory by abortion. Sacred Scripture tells us that it is rare that a mother can forget the child that took refuge in their womb. It takes love and compassion to help a mother through the hurt after they realize their mistake. And we must make it clear to these broken mothers that God still loves them and could no more forget them than they will forget their child. For their names are written in love on the Palms of the Crucified Christ, who died to redeem them.

Day 40: Sunday, October 31st, 2010

Matthew 28:2: And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, approached, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it.

By the power of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, may we too, using the power of God, throw back the stone of death to the soul that is abortion, and sit on it in victory, with all of our brothers and sisters believing in the uncompromising sanctity of life. By the power of God, may we throw back the stone of death and experimentation of the unborn caused by a lack of respect, and sit on it in victory seeing the unborn as known by God before being formed in the womb, and dedicated by God before birth [see Jeremiah 1]. Amen, Amen, come Lord Jesus! May you always be victorious!
